What is the hosting surcharge?

If you want your client to pay hosting (instead of paying hosting yourself), you can add an additional monthly surcharge on top of GoMahalo's hosting fee. Your surcharge will be paid directly to you.

Adding a monthly surcharge on top of GoMahalo's hosting fee allows you to make a profit from any hosting/support/administrative duties with your GoMahalo clients.

For example, if you choose GoMahalo's $15/month hosting plan and add a surcharge of $10 to the plan then your client will be charged $25 ($15 + $10) each month. Your $10 surcharge will be deposited directly into your bank account.

Is my surcharge deposited into my bank account?

Yes. The surcharge that you add to your client's monthly hosting payment will be deposited directly into your bank account. The deposit is completed by Stripe, a popular third party payment provider that will take you two minutes to set up.

When are surcharges deposited into my bank account?

Your very first surcharge will be deposited into your bank account 7 to 10 days after payment is submitted by your client. In the US, subsequent surcharges will be deposited on a two business day schedule. In other countries, subsequent surcharges will be deposited within 4 to 7 days.

What do my clients see on their credit card statement?

If you add a surcharge to your client's hosting plan then your company name will display as the payment description on your client's credit card statement. Your company name is what you provide to Stripe during your Stripe set up.

If you don't add a surcharge to your client's hosting plan then your client's credit card statement will display GoMahalo as the payment description.
